An offer without a clear end date needs checking immediately before booking. Ask which price will apply to your appointment, whether the exact vehicle is supported and what preparation it needs.

Why the cheapest advertised test may answer a different question

A short diagnostic assessment, a manufacturer test and a measured-capacity test are not automatically interchangeable. Ask which method produces the reported percentage and whether any faults or unusual observations are explained. If your concern is a charging failure, a capacity-focused certificate may not include the investigation you need. If you are pursuing a warranty claim, confirm the required diagnostic route with the warrantor first. Paying twice for two different procedures may be avoidable when the question is clear.

Build a comparable written quotation

For each provider, record the total including tax, the exact test, vehicle compatibility, appointment duration, preparation, report delivery and any follow-up charges.
