Battery options & usable capacity
Volkswagen’s launch technical data explicitly lists net capacities of 58 kWh for Pro and 77 kWh for Pro S. These selected historical records can be used as original-capacity presets after the owner confirms the match.

Charging capability
A 2021 manufacturer update describes 100 kW DC for the 58 kWh pack and up to 125 kW for 77 kWh in that context. Later software and versions may differ, so this page does not assume those limits for all ID.3s.

Battery warranty
This guide does not populate a global warranty from a European launch specification. Ask for the car’s original battery-warranty document, capacity threshold and start date.
Things worth checking before purchase
- Confirm Pro versus Pro S and the net capacity in the original documents.
- Check current software and any documented charging-capability updates.
- Keep WLTP range separate from an observed driving sample.
- Confirm that a replacement pack, if fitted, uses the same baseline as the preset.
