Ask the seller to identify the exact car
Which model year, variant and original market is this? Is the battery original? Can you see the supporting specification and any replacement records? A VIN can help identify a configuration when a legitimate decoder supports it, but it does not expose hidden battery-health data. Treat an unverified advert field as a claim to check.
Ask for battery and charging evidence
Is there a recent SoH report, and what method produced it? Have battery warnings occurred? Has the pack been repaired? Does AC charging work at the expected rate, and does DC charging work normally? Are the appropriate cables included? Ask for dates, documents and demonstrations rather than accepting a numerical score without context.
Ask about warranty and ownership obligations
What is the original warranty start date, distance limit and capacity condition? Is coverage transferable, and are service records complete? Are there battery leases, subscriptions or finance obligations that affect ownership? Confirm the answers through the relevant provider and written terms. Do not treat an estimated remaining number of days as proof that a claim would be accepted.
Ask whether the car fits your real use
What recent consumption does the car show on a route like yours? Which wheels, temperature and speed produced it? Can your home supply support the intended charging setup, and is public charging dependable on your regular routes? Gather local insurance and maintenance quotes and create a conservative cost scenario. These questions support a professional inspection and your own decision; they do not replace either.
Turn seller answers into evidence requests
A useful answer tells you what can be checked. Keep unanswered items visible through the viewing and inspection instead of replacing them with assumptions.

Before travelling, request the exact variant and the documents the seller is willing to show. During the viewing, match those documents to the vehicle, note any unanswered questions and collect a realistic consumption sample where practical. Afterward, use the analyzer to organise the supplied figures. A blank warranty or AC-limit field is a prompt to obtain evidence, not a reason for the tool to guess. If the purchase depends on battery condition, arrange a suitable professional inspection with a clear scope. Retain the written answers, but avoid sending personal vehicle records to unrelated online tools merely to obtain a score.
